Corfu sits in the north of the Ionian Sea being one of the most popular travel destinations in Greece. The island is strongly influenced by the Venetians, the French and the English. This cultural heritage is clearly reflected in Corfu Town which is flanked by two imposing Venetian Fortresses. The old town is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Countless beaches and secret coves, stunning mountain scenery and various luxury Hotels and Resorts contribute to the island’s popularity. Well worth a visit is clearly the Achillion palace, located about 10 kilometers south of the city of Corfu, dedicated to the mythical hero Achilles.
The International Airport is located about 3 kilometers of the island town. From Athens the flight time with the helicopter is quite long, lasting approximately 2 hours. We would suggest as a travel option one of our private planes with a flight duration between 50 to 60 minutes.
