ifly at DEFEA 2023

ifly attended the Defence Exhibition Athens 2023 – DEFEA, which was held on May 9-11 at the Athens Metropolitan Expo Exhibition Centre, under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence.

ifly visited several booths among the 346 exhibitors, while among the participants were giants of the global defense industry, as well as important research centers and institutions for high-tech development, from 28 countries.

DEFEA 2023 was opened by the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, while it was attended by high-ranking government officials, such as the Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Nikos Hardalias and the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff Konstantinos Floros. The exhibition was also attended by the Defence team of the main opposition party led by the Head of the sector Giorgos Tsipras, accompanied by former Minister of National Defense Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, former Minister of Citizen Protection Nikos Toskas and former Deputy Minister of National Defense Panagiotis Rigas.

Αt the center of conversation were geopolitical upheavals, the strengthening of bilateral and collective relations in the context of international politics, as well as the issue of the Greek defence industry, with a notable event being the signing of a memorandum of agreement between Greece and Slovakia.
